April 17: Sign Up for a Pre-Release Org

April 23: Explore the Salesforce Summer ’25 Release Notes
Save the date for an important milestone. The Salesforce Release Notes give you an early look at upcoming features and updates.
The latest Release Notes go live on April 23, 2025. We’ll add the link here as soon as they’re available.
May 8: Prepare for the Sandbox Preview
Salesforce sandboxes are split into two groups for each release:
- Non-preview instances (stay on the current release)
- Preview instances (upgrade to the upcoming release)
Check the Salesforce Sandbox Preview Guide to see when and how your sandbox will be upgraded. Want early access to Summer ’25 features? If your sandbox isn’t set for the preview update, switch before 5 p.m. Pacific Time on May 8th. Don’t miss out!
May 9: Start Sandbox Preview
It’s time to dive into the Summer ’25 updates in your sandbox. Check your sandbox instance status on Trust to find out when your upgrade window starts.
Sandbox preview, just like the pre-release org, lets you test new features with your customizations—without impacting your live environment.
May–June: Full Access to the Summer ’25 Edition
The Summer ’25 release date varies by Salesforce instance. Key release weekends include:
- May 16, 2025
- June 6, 2025
- June 13, 2025
