Customer

An international financial services company and a long-term ENWAY customer. This case covers its UK branch, which provides corporate vehicle payments to business clients who sign up online.

Challenge

Both Customer’s order forms are built in Salesforce: a web form the client completes, and an internal form a sales rep completes for them. Both end at a payment step.

There are three options in the payment logic: an agreement to weekly collection from the client’s bank account; that agreement plus a refundable deposit; or a stored payment card. Which option a client is offered depends on the Customer’s own business logic and on the credit bureau reports pulled during the order. This case covers the bank collection agreement and the deposit. The stored payment card is covered in a separate case study.

The Customer came to ENWAY to build them into the payment step on both Salesforce forms, with the outcome written back to the order record.

Solution

ENWAY integrated Asperato (now Unaric Payments), a Salesforce-native payments application listed on AppExchange. It supplies the payment page and connects Salesforce to the payment provider, so sensitive details go to the provider rather than into the org.

  1. Installed and configured the package in the branch’s Salesforce org against its UK payment provider. The application supports providers worldwide; this branch collects in the UK only.
  2. Placed the Asperato payment page inside both Salesforce order forms, so the client pays without leaving the form.
  3. Built the bank collection authorization, stored on the client’s Salesforce record once signed.
  4. Built the deposit as a one-off charge, taken before the account goes live and refunded later.
  5. Connected the Customer’s business logic and the credit bureau reports already held in Salesforce to the payment page, so together they decide whether the form asks for the bank collection agreement alone or a deposit as well.
  6. Wrote the outcome back to the Salesforce order record: authorization reference, payment status, amount, timestamps.

Results

An order finishes in one session , inside Salesforce.

The client sees their terms and pays on the spot instead of waiting for a payment link and a follow-up call.

Authorizations and deposits land on the Salesforce order record next to the credit data, so finance has one place to look and no account goes live without a payment method behind it.

Fewer invoices go unpaid, because a collection method is agreed before the account opens and a deposit sits behind the accounts that call for one. The Customer carries a smaller debtor balance and writes off less of it.

Deposit accounts also stay longer and spend more, since the money stays with the branch for the life of the account.
